Black Maple Livingstons

Legacy Eyewear

The Livingstons wooden sunglasses are crafted out of the finest New York Maple. We then stain the maple and toss it through the ringer, to get an amazing distressed look. The Livingstons are big and bold, make a statement with these, they fit great on triangular and round faces!
Philip Livingston was a promoter of the founding of Kings College and helped to organize the New York Public Library in 1754. Livingston founded the first Chamber of Commerce in 1770, and in 1756 was president and founding member of the St. Andrew's Society, New York's first benevolent organization.  On July 4th, 1776 he signed the Declaration of Independence.
Legacy Eyewear approached us with a partnership opportunity we couldn't pass up - hand crafted hardwood sunglasses with polarized lenses made in USA. Legacy speaks highly of their spring loaded hinges, and after spending a couple days wearing them for hours on end, we have to agree - they are ridiculously comfortable (and surprisingly light). It's a beautiful thing to be able to go about your day working and making things happen without them falling off every time you have to lean down to tie your shoes.
