Chippewa 1939 Service Boot - English Tan

Chippewa

Chippewa has hand-crafted leather boots in America since 1901, and they do not mess around with quality. When they approached Arcane with a partnership, we sprung on the chance to bring on our favorite heritage brand on board. These are our daily wears (really, we wear these with jeans, full suits, shorts, sweats...) and fill the gap that most shoes never can: functional and formal wear.

 Free Shipping.

Chippewa products use only premium raw materials and are hand crafted in USA. To this day, their U.S. made boots still carry the "Hand Crafted in USA" labels as homage to the men and women that have built the Chippewa brand.

The 1939 Original is a 6" General Utility boot from Chippewa with oil tanned British Tan Horween® full grain leather. It has 6-Iron Texon® insoles and is proudly handcrafted in the USA. We recommend ordering a half-size smaller than what you would normally wear.

Superb all around!

What do you get when you combine super soft, high quality Horween leather with a classic Chippewa service boot design? You get one heck of a comfortable, great looking boot that feels great from day 1.

My first impression of the boots was that they're made to the very high standards that we know and expect from Chippewa. The Horween leather is super soft and looks pretty much just as it does as it does in the pix online. The aesthetic of the boot is just about perfect IMO - a nicely rounded toe and a great looking vamp. The silver eyelets make a nice contrast with the tan leather.

Overall, I'm very happy with the leather, sole, the comfortable fit and the overall look.

Like Arcane suggests, I would size down 1/2 on these from your regular dress shoe size.

A+ service from Arcane. Would definitely order again!

Should have walked this way before...

After buying what I thought were decent shoes for the past few decades, I recently researched what really matters in the construction of good quality footwear. I had focused on looks, price, and comfort. Price didn't really guarantee either of those things, especially on designer brands which rarely seemed to last a long time. I am now convinced that paying a little more for a well made product that lasts, is the only way to go. You will end up spending less in the long run by getting what you really want in the first place. These Chippewas define that thinking. Good looking, comfortable after a short break in period, able to resole, and thus lasting a very long time. A side benefit is that it garners many compliments from the ladies. Hell, even the guys like'em. Order a 1/2 size down and you'll be fine. Next up for me, Chippewas in Renegade Tan
