6 months later..
It has been six months since we finished and immediately put on our first final belt prototype. English bridle leather is very rigid and sturdy after it is first processed, but after 3 or 4 wears, it softens up like butter. We initially used only one color in the vegetable-tanned leather, but have since added chestnut and espresso to the mix.
Above is a brand new belt (left) and our 6 month old broken in belt (right).
